The course is designed to boost performance in these key areas of the curriculum, rather than just repeat work that is covered at school

What happens in Year 8?
Year 8 is a critical year in the educational journey, laying the groundwork for the rest of secondary school. The curriculum and experiences are designed to help students adjust to the increased demands of secondary education while fostering personal and academic development.
English
Building on primary school English, Year 8 focuses on developing advanced reading, writing, and analytical skills. Students explore a variety of literary genres and continue to enhance their language proficiency.
Mathematics
Year 8 Mathematics builds on the foundation laid in primary school, covering more advanced concepts such as algebra, geometry, statistics, and more complex problem-solving.
Science
The Science curriculum in Year 8 introduces students to a range of scientific disciplines, including biology, chemistry, and physics. Practical experiments and hands-on activities are common.
